The purpose of this award is to honor those who work so diligently for children but may go unrecognized for the key role they play in our schools. This award recognizes teacher assistants and secretaries who demonstrate a positive and successful impact both on the children they work with as well as the entire school and community.
All nominations should reflect the following:
Nominations may be made by any staff member. Nominations must be received by noon the last Friday of each month for consideration that month. Nominations may be submitted more than once, but only nominations received during a specific month will be considered that month.
Selection of winners will be made by a committee of retired educators.
Recognition of winners will be made at a faculty meeting at the home school and at the regular meeting of the Board of Education. The award is a brass key presented on an engraved walnut stand Appropriate media coverage will be given.
