Key Player Award

Barfield Named Scotland County Schools Key Player for September

Amiee Barfield, administrative assistant for Staff Development and Student Support Services, was recognized by the Scotland County Board of Education as the “Key Player” for the month of September.

The purpose of this award is to honor those who work so diligently for children but may go unrecognized for the key role they play in our schools. This award recognizes teacher assistants and secretaries who demonstrate a positive and successful impact both on the children they work with as well as the entire school and community.

Barfield was nominated by Dr. Barbara Howard and Tamara Davison. “Amiee exemplifies the highest level of professionalism as an administrative assistant for not one, but two demanding program areas,” wrote Howard and Davison in their nomination. “Her phenomenal work ethic is evident through her cheerful persistence and attention to detail with which she undertakes each task.”
