Ninth Grade Academies Home

Welcome Class of 2011!

The faculty and staff of the Ninth Grade Academies are excited to have such talented and ambitious students to teach in our classrooms. We are looking forward to the challenge of helping you be successful at Scotland High School.

While in the Ninth Grade Academies, you will take the following required classes:

* English 9

* World History

* Earth Science

* Algebra I or II

* Health & Physical Education

You will also take three electives. Each of you must work hard in and out of class to complete assignments and be prepared for assessments in order to advance to the 10th grade. If you need assistance with course subject matter, after-school and academic tutors are available to assist you. Together, we can help you be successful in the classroom.

There are also opportunities for you to become active in extracurricular programs. Among these you might enjoy are athletic teams, clubs, marching band, theater productions, and chorus. If you would like to participate in any of these activities, ask for more information. Your talents are welcome additions to any of these programs.
