The Fighting Scots Baseball team could only connect for two hits in their contest against Wesleyan Christian Academy on Saturday, March 1. Tyler Barnes hit a single during the first inning and Matt Quick hit a single up the middle in the fourth. The only other player to reach base for the Scots was Ricky Usher who walked in the seventh. Nick Roberts started on the mound for the Scots and did well through the first five innings. With a no hitter intact, Roberts walked the first batter in the sixth who then stole second base. The next batter hit a double into left-centerfield, scoring the lead run from second base. Paul Adams relieved Roberts after the Trojan double, giving up two more runs. Final score for the game was 3 - 0. The Fighting Scots, 2 - 1, take on the Purnell Swett Rams at McKoy Field this afternoon at 5:00 PM. More sports updates . . .
