Welcome!
What an exciting year we have ahead of us! The mission of the Scotland High School of Leadership and Public Service is to provide students with the tools needed to become successful participants and leaders in a safe, educated, healthy, and civil environment. With this in mind, we, as a faculty and student body will model the belief “we can lead by serving.” Communicating our expectations with each other will help us achieve our goals, measured by the success of our students.
Rigor, relevance, and relationships are essential practices for all subject areas. Therefore, each and every curricula within the School of Leadership and Public Service will:
-
Ensure student participation in challenging class work with academic and social support (Rigor);
-
Demonstrate how students will use their learning (Relevance);
-
Build caring and supportive connections with students, parents, and communities (Relationships).
“Excellence can be achieved if you…
risk more than others think is safe,
love more than others think is wise,
dream more than others think is practical,
and expect more than others think is possible.”
Kay Fuller, Principal
