Achieve - developed through the American Diploma Project - benchmarks in English and Math that are connected to the expectations of post-secondary education and the world of work.
 
Understanding University Success - has benchmarks that are tied to the expectations of entry-level college courses. Benchmarks are available in English, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Secondary Languages and the Arts
 
Massachusetts Standards in reading and math - considered to be some of the best in the country (Cross, Rebarber & Torres, 2004)
 
Partnership for 21st Century Skills
 
Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) - has a set of readiness indicators for Algebra I, college preparatory English, and honors science that list the skills students need to master by the end of 8th grade or in 9th grad catch-up classes to be successful in the above list of courses.
 

Mid-Continent Research for Education and Learning - has a good collection of resources concerning standards.

McREL also has a technical document for assistance in revising content standards-

Council of Chief State School Offers (CCSSO)- provides support in aligning standards and assessments using three different models: Survey of Enacted Curriculum, Webb model and the Achieve Model
 
CCSSO - online alignment system using the Webb model that examines the alignment of their standards and assessments. Access to this site is free to other states.

CCSSO - collection of reports that has been developed about the topic of alignment of standards and assessments.
