Shaw school will continue with the implementation of "Positive Behavior Support" this year. PBS focuses on the concept of reinforcing the positive choices kids make when doing the right thing.  It also includes redirecting the unacceptable behaviors through teaching other ways to handle a situation. We have worked on our expectations and have posted them in classrooms and throughout campus. 

After discussing the expectations with teachers in the classroom, students will also participate in a back to school assembly on the first day to review the school wide expectations with Mr. Davern.

Students will earn star tickets that can be collected and redeemed for prizes throughout the year.  These could be redeemed in the classroom or in the school PBS Store.

Our PBS program will be enhanced with an office referral process, a Learning Lab classroom and several levels of intervention before they are seen by the Principal for administrative action.
