Beth Ammons, Principal

Welcome to the Spring Hill Middle School website. We are the home of the Spartans. Our mission is to maximize student academic growth, addressing physical, intellectual, emotional and social needs of all children emphasizing human worth in a safe and orderly learning environment.

Our motto is: "We are the Champions of Learning."

We have been very fortunate to receive funding from several sources that have allowed us to purchase lots of technology tools. All of our core classrooms have interactive whiteboards, wireless slates, and new desktop computers. We have five mobile computer labs that house twenty-four laptops each. Other technoloyg tools purchased are student response systems, one system per curriculum team. We are well on our way to creating 21st Century classrooms where our students can thrive.

We are an IMPACT school. Our staff has received two full years of training to support 21st Century learning and teaching. We love showing others what our students are doing. We welcome visitors. Feel free to contact us for more information.

Patrick Peed, Assistant Principal

Welcome to Spring Hill Middle School - home to Scotland County's best and brightest! I am proud to be a Spartan and am confident that you can have no better middle school experience than here at Spring Hill.

I began at Spring Hill in March 2008 after teaching and coaching for 11 years in Richmond County. Working with kids has always been a great passion of mine and I began coaching at age 16. After high school, I attended Appalachian State University as a North Carolina Teaching Fellow knowing even then that my future was in education. Soon after graduating, I returned to the junior high school I had attended and began teaching. After a decade in the classroom, I decided to switch roles and began pursuing a graduate degree at UNC-Pembroke. That degree provided this awesome opportunity to serve as assistant principal at Spring Hill!

There is always a lot going on at Spring Hill, but I am always available for students, parents, and teachers. Please feel free to contact me anytime.
