Accelerated Reader Program

Accelerated Reader is a computerized incentive program. Students select and read books from an approved list of over 2500 titles; then they take a computerized test on the book. Points are awarded based on the length, reading level, and the student's comprehension of the book. Points earned by the students are accumulated for various rewards, including class and individual prizes.

Parents and students who wish to review the list of AR books and associated quizzes can do so by clicking on the link below. This list will appear in a new browser window and may take a little while to load due to the size of the listing. You can return to this page when done by closing the browser window that contains the AR listing.

The AR list is also available at the Scotland County Memorial Library.
