The Scotland High School Band Booster Club is a non-profit organization designed to support the band program.
They assist the band directors in raising money to fund the operation needs of the band program that are not
otherwise met through school funds. The Booster Club also provides parent volunteers for all band events and
functions. The Band Booster Club is all-inclusive. All parents who have a student currently enrolled in the
band program at Scotland High School are considered part of the Booster Club. The Booster Club does have a
governing board of members that is elected each year by members of the previous year's board. The Band Booster
Club holds monthly club meetings that occur on the third Monday of each month.

The Booster Club sponsors several fundraisers throughout the year to help raise funds for the band program.
The budget of the band program is based on the operation costs of all the events, needs, and functions of the band
program throughout the year. While the band program does receive money from the Board of Education, operation costs
are much higher in a developed program. For that reason, fundraisers are necessary to help bridge the gap between
funds already given and funds still needed. The Booster Club sponsors, organizes, and helps execute these fundraisers.
Some of our fundraisers include a gas raffle, a marching band competition, a discount card sale, a fruit sale, a pizza
and cookie dough sale, and an onion sale.

The Booster Club offers an assortment of merchandise, from T-shirts to hats to sweatshirts to wind jackets. Please contact any
Booster Club board member if you are interested in this assortment of band wear.

The Booster Club is always looking for willing parents to help volunteer. All events, trips, concerts, and
fundraisers require the help of volunteers. Willing volunteers are the legs of our band organization. There
is a multitude of opportunities for volunteers. Volunteers help chaperone trips, work in the concession stand,
organize fundraisers, prepare grants, load and pull the band trailers, set up front ensemble equipment at games
and competitions, and organize uniforms. If you would like to volunteer with the band, please print out a volunteer
form, fill out the necessary information, and turn it in to Mr. Doerffel, Mr. Hammonds, or any of the Band Booster Board members.
