Miss Scotland Pageant February 16, 2008
The purpose of the Miss Scotland Scholarship Pageant is to provide students the opportunity to participate and compete in a pageant environment, while providing a spirited event to contribute to the school community. In doing so, contestants will be exposed to the arts and talents of modeling, public speaking, and interviewing. Ultimately, the Miss Scotland Pageant experience will continue to positively shape both the participant’s self-esteem and self-image while exposing true leaders in our school community.
Who can participate?
Any female student or sibling of a student currently enrolled in Scotland County Schools may register for the pageant.
What are the responsibilities of the school?
Scotland High School will provide all participants a fair and impartial competitive environment. The pageant will be held in the Scotland High School Auditorium. Judges from across the state will be assembled to evaluate casual wear, evening wear, and on-stage interview. Additionally, contestants may choose to enter the Miss Photogenic and Talent portions of the competition (optional). The pageant coordinators will be responsible for the organization of events related to the Miss Scotland Scholarship Pageant.
